I founded Hitch, an innovative sustainable drinkware brand which grew from the #1 reusable product in crowdfunding history to seven-figure revenue across DTC, wholesale, co-branding, and international distribution channels. I led product design, brand, creative, marketing, and acquisition strategy. I pioneered industry-first climate positive initiatives, secured co-branding partnerships with Apple, Microsoft, and Snapchat, and landed retail partnerships with Free People, Urban Outfitters, and GOOP.
80% of those who carry a reusable bottle won’t carry a reusable cup, despite owning 5+ reusable cups on average, as it's cumbersome to carry both a reusable bottle and cup all day. To solve this, we applied human-centered design to create a daily reusable bottle with a reusable cup and lid hidden inside, catering to the needs of modern urban commuters.
We validated the concept with customers, and it had very strong product-market fit. Hitch allowed people to overcome the convenience barrier, ditch single-use cups and live zero-waste everyday. On launch, Hitch became the most successful reusable product ever in crowdfunding, with over 25k backers in over 150 countries. Our video was viewed 6M+ times in just 4 weeks, and went viral.
Growth
We expanded from e-commerce into high-end retail, co-branding, and international distribution channels. I recruited and led a cross-functional team, guided brand strategy, product development, and marketing while scaling our operations to support growth. This led to seven-figure revenue and strong year-over-year growth within 24 months.

Impact
We were among the first consumer brands ever to define itself as 'Climate Positive', a concept later adopted by brands worldwide. We launched an industry-first take-back program, designed plastic-free packaging, offset more than our carbon footprint, and planted trees while removing ocean plastic with every purchase. Additionally, we earned B-Corp, Climate Neutral, and 1% For the Planet certifications. We also pioneered multiple brand alliance campaigns to expand the impact of new Climate Positive brands.
